Hello Everyone,
It's been a while since my last update. A lot has happened!!! I have shot 10 great interviews thus far, and I have collected a wealth of stories, photos, and information reguarding Yankee Lake and the surrounding community. I still have quite a few interviews to go, and I'm meeting new people with new stories all the time.
While in Florida, during the month of March, I interviewed my 93 yr old Unlce John Krivosh, my cousin Jonelle, my Aunt and Uncle Manilla, and I made contact with the Stewart family. Saddly I missed Russell Stewart by a month, when he passed away from pneumonia. His father E.H. Stewart was one of the founders of Yankee Lake back in the '20s. The Stewarts are a great family. They have already allowed me to copy some of their family photos and are willing to help with their stories.
Thanks to everyone that has helped so far. I will be sure to include your names in the credits of the completed documentary. I still need all of the help I can get. If you have any photos, footage, info or memories reguarding Yankee Lake please contact me. Yankee Lake's history is your history, and without you this project would be impossible.
I still have a long ways to go, a lot of research to be done, but with every step I take in this process I feel more energy and excitement building. I know that this is a worthy project to be completed, and I want to do my best to make sure that this history is preserved for all to see.
I hope to update this site soon, with new photos, info, and maybe a sneek preview of some of the interviews that I have shot. Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy this site. Feel free to share your stories on the forum.
